Full Description
The Public Health Clinic provides sexual health services to residents of Lincoln and Lancaster County. This position will work with individuals who are at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections by providing information/education on HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. The successful candidate will work with clients and community partners to provide education and provide access to testing. The successful candidate will participate in group and individual teaching and provide health presentations to improve community awareness about the incidence, transmission and prevention of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. Assistance to individuals may occur over the telephone or in-person. The successful candidate will work closely with the Access to Care team, health and human services providers in the community, and other health care assistors.
Requires graduation from a senior high school or equivalent supplemented by college-level coursework in human or behavioral sciences, health education or other specialized training with some experience connecting people to a medical home or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge abilities and skills.

Early evening and weekend hours possible, but the majority of hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by college-level coursework in human or behavioral sciences, or other specialized training with six months of experience in a capacity related to the position and program to which assigned; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week.
To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
