Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following functions are commonly found in this position. These functions should not be viewed as a complete list.

  • Performs several analyses, including total suspended solids, biochemical oxygen demand, phosphorus, ammonia, and fecal coliform, as well. Additionally, chlorine, pH, etc.
  • Collects samples.
  • Examines EPA regulations to manage quality control.'
  • Prepares samples for analysis.
  • Keeps sampling apparatus running when necessary.'
  • Purchase laboratory equipment and supplies at your discretion.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:.

  • Education, training and experience are not included in the high school diploma or equivalent. [citation needed]

Special Requirements:

  • Either Class I Wastewater Certification or (II) Industrial (Class A).
  • Experience in a lab or technical training.

Health: minimum requirements for physical and mental health.

  • possesses the skill to operate various automated office equipment such as a typewriter, calculator, copier, computer, or telephone system.
  • Ability to operate department-specific lab equipment and tools, including vacuum pumps, Bunsen burner reamers, spectrophotometers, analytical balances, and other laboratory equipment/instruments.[A] Career options

Mathematical Ability:

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (flexible time).

A salary range of $24.37 to $29.18 per hour is offered.
