The Associate Director, Grants is responsible for assisting with the grants program for the Network, including grants from private and public sources. This individual will assist with research to identify and match funding resources to meet specific Network needs; assist in the implementation of effective grant program and project design/development; work with specific managers and staff across the Network to prepare and submit written grant proposals; and assist with post-award grant management practices including analysis of outcomes and reporting. He/she will help cultivate and maintain relationships between grant-seeking Network staff and funders.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with the major gift team to develop fundraising strategies for major gift initiatives.
- Provide assistance to the major gift team in implementing campaign strategies.
- Implement strategies to identify, recruit and engage mid-level donors.
- Assist with written proposals as needed to support fundraising initiatives related to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Assist with the ongoing development and utilization of our Raiser’s Edge database.
- Assist with the creation of lists and reports for major gift team.
- Assist with the preparation of stewardship reports/activities for assigned donors.
- Assist with the administration of donor recognition and donor giving circles.
- Assist, as needed, in the coordination of special fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events.
- Maintains security of the donor database. Represents St. Luke’s on external community fundraising efforts for the Network.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to eight hours per day, up to two hours at a time. Walking for up to one hour per day, up to 15 minutes at a time. Involves frequent travel between campuses and within the region. Involves frequent fingering, firm grasping, handling and twisting and turning. Occasional lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds. Occasional stooping, bending and reaching above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, color vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony.
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of work experience, preferably in a health or education related organization. Data base management experience a plus. Ability to work in a team environment.
