Job Summary
The Physical Plant Departmetn within the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center is seeking a General Repair Worker to make deliveries both on and off campus. Deliveries will include, but are not limited to, lunch and dinner meals for patients, mail pick up from local Post Office. The General Repair Worker will also be responsible for preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the delivery trucks, or other equipment used on the campus.
Other areas of responsibility may include:
- Grounds keeping such as mowing grass, minor landscaping duties, and snow removal
- Repair and maintenance of buildings; both interior and exterior
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of general methods and practices of a variety of trade areas (e.g. mechanics, masonry, welding, electrical, plumbing and carpentry) sufficient to assist licensed trades workers and to repair machinery, tools and facilities in a timely and safe manner; occupational hazards and safety measures related to trades work sufficient to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
- Ability to safely use hand and power hand tools; safely operate and maintain trucks, tractors, and other ground and road maintenance equipment; follow oral and written instructions; provide work instructions to unskilled helpers.
- Valid driver's license
