The Office of the Kansas Attorney General (OAG), is seeking a Systems Administrator I to manage various software programs and other IT resources including iManage, Lawbase, Active Directory, and Windows Servers. This position serves as the lead in development and troubleshooting issues involving the agency’s document management system, iManage.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead Administrator for iManage, the office’s document management system in the following ways:
    • Perform routine maintenance and monitor scheduled tasks
    • Develop templates, workspaces, and custom scripted processes for divisions
    • Contribute to the technical design of existing infrastructure, which may include integrating and developing with multiple products such as LawBase and other 3rd-party systems using the iManage API
    • Confer with other IT staff members, end users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
    • If selected for this role, you will be registered for an iManage official 5 day administrator training course
  • Co-Administer LawBase, the office’s case management system in the following ways:
    • Coordinate with IT Manager to perform routine maintenance and monitor scheduled tasks
    • Coordinate with IT Manager to complete division requests for new designs
    • Develop and maintain integrations with iManage
  • Develop automation tasks between case management and document management systems using Powershell and Python
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Proactively analyze needs and develop automation tasks between Attorney General systems and products
  • Administer aspects of Active Directory such as users, groups, DNS, and DHCP
  • Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration
  • Coordinate and participate in application testing and quality inspections
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service or correction
  • Resolve computer problems for end users in person, via telephone, or from remote locations
  • Assist in developing training materials and/or written procedures for the proper use of computer hardware and software
  • Assist in any other related IT tasks on an as-needed basis

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science or related field. Professional experience or technical education in the IT field, as deemed by the Attorney General to be sufficient qualification to perform the assigned work, may be substituted for the required college study.

Licensing & Certification

  • A valid driver's license

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in the IT field to include a minimum of one (1) year of experience designing/analyzing, coding, testing, and debugging database programs or system software programming and analysis
  • Experience with SQL scripting
  • Experience with Powershell scripting
  • Experience working with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Understand and work with Windows imaging and software deployment systems such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • Have a working understanding of Windows Server basics such as DNS and DHCP
  • Experience with network and internet security
  • Experience with the Microsoft technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python is strongly desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Powershell scripting, virtualization, software deployment, multifactor authentication, or document management systems is desired, but not required
  • Ability to establish and implement comprehensive and long-term strategic plans for database systems and projects
