POSITION 24S51 TITLE: Cook II (half-time, long-term temporary) – Anticipated 11/20/23 – 5/24/24

LOCATIONS: John Marshall

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
A cook is charged with the responsibility of working within the framework of the Food Service Program of the school and the county. A cook will be assigned specific duties under the direction of the building principal or his/her designee.

Specific duties may be:
1. Aid in the preparation and serving of meals
2. Help to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and serving area
3. Any other duties of a food service nature directed by the building principal or county supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A cook employed within the Marshall County School System should exhibit high moral characteristics, a good physical appearance, and a friendly, cooperative personality.

A cook will be called upon to perform a variety of tasks requiring good physical health and development.

Additionally, a cook must have a valid food handler’s card.

EMPLOYMENT TERM: Anticipated start date of November 20, 2023, and ending approximately May 242, 2024. Normally half-time 10:30 am – 2:00 pm).

SALARY: Salary to be determined by salary classification level, experience, and education according to schedule at https://boe.mars.k12.wv.us/mcs-salary/.
