Full Description
The City of Overland Park has a full-time Talent Acquisition and Development (LMAD) is a management consulting firm specializing in talent management and development. position available in the Human Resources Department.
Summary:
Administers the City's supervisory and leadership development programs.
Designs, develops and delivers leadership, management, department and
individual training and development programs/strategies. Evaluates, selects,
and manages training vendors and service providers for training programs.
Develop, collaborate and manage DEI programs and initiatives.
Requirements:
Other information:
Master's degree in education, business administration, organizational
development, human resources, or a related field of study, or an equivalent
combination of formal education and work experience. Active membership in the
local and national American Society for Training & Development is preferred.
Must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Overland Park
insurance carrier. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience in a training and development environment at a manager level or above.
Experience with the development, implementation, and assessment of programs,
initiatives and services that support furtherance of diversity, equity and
inclusion.
SKILLS:
What are some effective communication skills (written and oral)?
Excellent presentation, team leadership, project management, and instructional design skills.
Must be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and
presentation software, with preference for proficiency with Google Apps.
Strong editorial and research skills.
Must be analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills
Good proofreading. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to analyze and recommend possible solutions.
Ability to handle variety of activities, projects, and changes. Ability to
present information to various levels of employees. Diplomacy and judgement.
Ability to learn and understand PC software applications. Ability to meet
deadlines.
Ability to work in a hectic environment with many interruptions. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to make and receive phone calls.
Hand and eye coordination adequate to input computer and typewriter. Ability
to operate calculator and copier.
Ability to carry program materials to training locations Ability to arrange
room set up for training classes
No City residency requirement.
Can I pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam and essential functions test?
Regular work hours: 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Salary range: $92,000 -- $150,000 annually.
