We are seeking a part-time Substitute teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 12 hours per week. The center is located near Denver, Colorado in Highlands Ranch. The substitute is called as needed when staff are out sick, but the substitute can always decline if not available on a particular day.

Our application process does not require any teaching certification or formal teaching experience, as we will teach you everything you need to know. The ideal candidate may have worked in a Catholic parish for homeschooling, ministry in your own community, or worked with children privately (though not necessarily required). They can also teach Religious Education or Catechism classes, and possibly teach in an old or private school (though not necessary necessarily).

On Mondays and Thursdays, RCA offers hourly instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting. It is based on the Catholic tradition of classical homeschooling; please visit our Vacation Days page for details. No additional vacation days are available. Additionally, there is no charge to attend during these hours.

The application process includes requirements that applicants must be able to take an Oath of Faith to the Catholic Church and have a strong affinity for the Catholic faith. They are also provided with curriculum and grading guidelines, arranged by teachers per RCA standards, instructed on effective instruction and classroom management, demonstrated adherence to traditional student-teacher rapport, and practiced Catholicism daily. Additionally, they must have received all appropriate sacraments in their lives.

The first step in teaching at Regina Caeli Academy is to pass a background check, followed by RCA's safe child training for all staff.

The operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:45 am to 3 pm.?
