Duties

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience must be described for each grade level advertised. The specialized experience requirements for this position are: Qualifying experience for GS-07 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-06 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience assisting statisticians in collecting, processing, analyzing, and editing survey data; training or providing technical direction to junior members on statistical databases; preparing reports for publications; and developing recommendations to resolve recurring data problems.

Specialized Experience : Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience must be described for each grade level advertised. The specialized experience requirements for this position are: Qualifying experience for GS-08 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-07 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience evaluating, analyzing, and editing statistical data using data editing software; preparing statistical- related materials for training workshops and providing training to junior members of the staff; organizing and coordinating surveys utilizing survey management software; and assisting in conducting small-scale surveys.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national service programs (e.g., the Peace Corps; philanthropy; religious), nonprofits like the Berkshire Foundation or The American Red Cross) that can provide valuable training and experience directly related to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience - including volunteering experiences.

    • Saint Louis, MO: $47,738 - $68,712.
  • The incumbent is subject to reassignment, or NASS's requirement, on the needs of the agency.
