POSITION: Production Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Medford Community Media
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time (40 hours/weekly)
The salary range for CAF members is a combination of three salary levels, $973.42 and $1068.48 per week (excluding FLSA exemptions).
POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the operation of the City’s PEG station and community media center. Primarily responsible for all phases of producing community- based productions and media projects for the Medford Community Media cable channels and website.
SUPERVISION: Works under the direction of the Station Manager of Medford Community Media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Creates off-site ENG, multi-camera, live TV and web content for MCM. Additionally, he creates web content for other companies.
  • members assists in producing work done on location if needed.
  • Produces and presents quarterly programs, such as studio/field trips and equipment-based classes, that boost the utilization of MCM production equipment and TV studios.
  • Attend, record and upload municipal meetings of the City Of Medford?
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degrees in TV, Video, or film can be exchanged for a high school diploma and three years of experience in video/film production, community programming, etc. as an alternative.
  • At least one year of experience in video/film production, community programming, or a related field is required for job applicants. Experience with public education and government access channels is desirable.
  • Must satisfy the requirements for CORI, SOR, and fingerprint background checks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Proficiency: Knowledge of Apple computers, personal computers (PCs), non-linear editing, Adobe Creative Suite digital media software; network experience with IT; use of relevant equipment and Blackmagic devices, as well as various field mixers/audio consoles.
  • Proficiency: has effective management skills and a strong focus on task management. Good communication abilities and interpersonal skills. Must be able to troubleshoot and create solutions quickly when appropriate.
  • possessing the skill of being able to load and unload video equipment without assistance from one's personal vehicle, working independently or as part of a team to meet deadline expectations. Ability to work in 3 - 5 hour shifts per week, weekends and holidays as needed. Captured video production and electronic equipment operation skills are desirable.
