Position Summary
The Procurement Training Coordinator will design, implement, and evaluate
trainings in support of Procurement’s Strategic Plan and the City’s Core
Values. Design of the trainings will require collaborating with subject matter
experts to shape content. Participants of the trainings include project
managers, employees with procurement responsibilities, potential and current
vendors and community organizations, who support local businesses to work with
the City. The Procurement Training Coordinator will leverage institutions of
higher learning and procurement and supply chain centers of excellence such as
the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and the Institute for
Supply Management (ISM).

What are the minimum qualifications for employment? ** required ** for this position:
- The knowledge and ability to apply principles, practices, and techniques of training and instruction.
- Ability to research, plan, and develop training programs that strategically align with an organization's mission or goals. In particular the ability to collaborate with and facilitate the inclusion of communities of color and people who are historically underrepresented in local decision-making.
- The ability to effectively communicate and present information and recommendations clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, establishing effective working relationships.
- Ability to leverage institutions of higher education, such as local and national college and universities. One research institution; two research institutions; and three centers of excellence.
Although not required, you may have one or more of the following:
- What is experience with online learning systems, including the required format to upload content?
- Experience deploying content to learners with diverse learning styles.
- Teaching ability to teach the curriculum.
- The ability to leverage consultants and thought leaders locally, as well as strategically design learning that will impact the city's ability to work with different types of businesses.
- Knowledge of design and construction processes.

Step 2: Minimum Qualification Evaluation: October 3, 2023-October 12, 2023
- An evaluation of each applicant's training and experience, as demonstrated in their resume/supplemental questions, weighted 100 %.
- Incomplete or inappropriate information may result in disqualification. Your résumé and responses to the supplemental questions will be the basis for our evaluation of your qualifications for this position, he said.

- Note: The selection process may take up to 90 days from the notification of being placed on the list.
Step 5: offer of employment in mid-November.
