Plant Manager (Brookhaven, MS)

This position is part of Aptiv's Connected Systems segment and will be located in Brookhaven, MS. The Connected systems (CS) business is a global business with over 20,000 employees and is present in 5 continents.

Your Role

As a plant manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our manufacturing facility - ensuring superior service to our customers, with a strong focus on cost, quality and on-time delivery.

In your daily job, you will be responsible for many things.

• Be responsible for developing, monitoring and managing the group's business plan to ensure objectives are met.
• The company's aim is to drive profits and revenue growth through safe, efficient manufacturing operations while improving yields and reducing waste.
• Ensure that all site operations continuously meet or exceed organizational objectives and be capable of building, developing and managing strong teams and establishing a performance-based culture around accountability and operational excellence.
• Focus on building a world class team, utilizing lean techniques and driving achievement of company goals and superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) will be a critical element in this position.
• Provide overall strategic direction for scheduling, production capacity and planning to meet demand in the plant.

Your Background

What are the key ingredients for success in this role?

• BBA in engineering, operations management, or other technical discipline (an MBA or any advanced degree is a plus).
• Strong track record of leadership, team building, and team performance. Driving accountability and behavior across all levels and helping employees understand the connection between their day-to-day duties and the company's mission and vision.
• Past plant management experience within a manufacturing facility?
• He/she should be capable of developing an effective vision for operations that can facilitate growth and continued expansion.
• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Proven ability to turn challenging plants into friends:
• Energic, action-oriented, pragmatic, resourceful, flexible, creative, and innovative - hands-on processes-oriented and can set long-term strategy. :
