PART-TIME - Administrative Assistant I - Sertich Ice Center
In this position, you will provide administrative support to facility staff and customers at Sertich Ice Center.
This is a .75 full-time position with benefits. Work hours will vary depending upon department needs, but will typically be between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. daily.
Essential Job Functions- the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
- Receive payments or fees for programs; issue receipts
- Count cash drawer; reconcile transactions at the end of shift
- Assist customers with skate rentals
- Receive reservation forms for birthday parties and groups; assist with event setup and tear down
- Assist with skate patrol as needed
- Open/close facility when required; perform janitorial duties
- Basic ice skating skills (training will be provided if needed)
- Ability to interact with customers in person and on the telephone
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Ability to operate office equipment, POS systems, and registration software
- A high school diploma or GED
- One year of full-time administrative or related support experience
- Experience working in a customer service environment
- Cash handling experience
- Ice rink experience and knowledge of ice-making practices and equipment
The City of Colorado Springs offers additional compensation depending on the position, area of assignment, and specific job assignments, including shift differential, pay differential, acting or lead, special assignment, hazard pay, longevity, cell phone allowance, uniform allowance, relocation, awards, standby, call out, compensatory time off, tuition, overtime, extra duty, incentive, holiday premium, proficiency, and vacation sell back.
This position requires the ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally. The ability to actively participate with youth during program activities is also required.
