Must hold a management experience of at least 1 year in the property field.
Must have worked in Subsidiary properties for at least 1 year.
Prefer bilingual.
As a Section 8 team, we are currently seeking candidates who possess outstanding occupation skills. We are looking for an individual with experience in over 900 Section 1 Vouchers (Conventional HCV, VASH, Single Room Occasion, Project Based, and Mainstream Section 801).
Must possess strong communication skills, customer service abilities, supervisory, administrative, and organizational abilities. The perfect candidate will:.
Proficiency in MS-Outlook and MS-Office applications; ability to quickly learn new software. Experience with Property Management/Section 8 of HAB, preferred. Strong organizational skills that can handle complex tasks and effectively collaborate with other staff and agencies. Good communication abilities are essential for a high level of interpersonal competence. Excellent listening and written communication skills are also important.
Position Responsibilities:
To determine the eligibility of program participants and applicants, they conduct interviews to evaluate their initial application and ongoing participation.
Validates data provided by examining third-party records obtained from employers, government initiatives, and the EIV System to verify the participant's income, expenses, or other variables that impact program eligibility and rent distribution.
Ensures the preparation, execution, and distribution of all HCV contracts between participants, landlords, housing authorities, and other related entities. This is responsible for:
Instructs housing inspectors on the basis of Housing Quality Standards (HQS).
To understand and clarify HUD and NHA policy, procedures, and regulations, including the wait list process, program eligibility criteria, rent sharing, utility allowances (including food stamps), transferability of the voucher subsidy to other HCV programs, lease and grievance procedures, housing quality standards, rights and responsibilities for beneficiaries, etc. All applicants must follow all federal guidelines as per USDA/NHA guidance.
Monitors and evaluates rent amounts proposed by the voucher holder and landlord against those recommended for similar housing units through a computer program for rent reasonableness to ensure compliance with HUD's rules on "Rent Fairness."
Recommends a lower rental fee to the landlord.
Education and Experience:
It is recommended to try the Section 8 Housing Voucher Program.
A recognized and reputable agency must provide Section 8 Rent Calculation Certification within one year of employment. *
