The hospital group, B.F. Spaulding Company Hospitality Group, is a subsidiary of the largest private real estate company in the Washington, D.C." area, and has more than 130 years of experience operating under these hotels. The Hospitality Group owns over 20 business class hotels with top brand names from Intercontinental, Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, The Watermark Hotel, The Ha-Damass hotel (the original 19th century hotel), and Perch, along with several other properties operated by enthusiastically motivated hospitality teams!

This position is responsible for balancing and closing previous business day and completing daily financial reports. This position successfully manages person in charge duties during the overnight shift, including showing sound judgment in making independent decisions and ensuring security protocols are being followed. Assists guests in a friendly, professional and timely manner, while following B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group and Hampton Inn Dulles South high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

    • Incorporates the guest service function of a 3rd shift manager. Provide long-lasting positive experiences and friendly greetings. Fulfill duties such as handling check-ins and outs, validating billing, reserving reservations, and accommodating special requests. Complies with hotel property, local attractions (such as restaurants), and providing assistance during business hours. Support other departments in meeting guest needs through effective communication and collaboration.
    • Conduct a thorough audit to ensure that all revenue sources are accurately balancing and complete daily financial reports, manage no-shows, and close the hotel's financial day for management review.
    • Financial results and cost control: Employs proper techniques such as selling, utilizing strategies to maximize room revenues. Monitor the availability of rooms, comply with hotel policies (including restrictions), and follow strict policy regarding up-selling rooms and amenities. By following procedures related to handling financial transactions, maintaining proper equipment usage and adhering to cost control, sales are achieved.
    • Manages the workload by planning, arranging, and prioritizing work duties. Upon completion of financial tasks, assist with other projects, stocking supplies, and adhering to departmental procedures, attend required departmental meetings and hotels. This position is assigned to individuals who are not part of typical hospitality management teams.
    • Ensures a healthy and safe work environment that adheres to B.F. Snyder's company's brand, regulations, and policy. Assured compliance with all guest/associate incident procedures and hotel emergency procedures. Adequate safety protocols are enforced for all staff members.

Required Skills and Experience:

    • The completion of a high school diploma or GED is compulsory.'
    • A minimum of 2 years of hospitality experience is required for this position.
    • Must possess prior experience in an audit or accounting position. Job responsibilities may involve attention to detail, customer-oriented work, and the ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requirements for strength include lifting, pushing heavy objects, and pulling 75 pounds occasionally.
