JOB OBJECTIVE: To assist in museum program development activities at the MacArthur Museum; schedules and conducts guided tours; trains volunteers to present programs and tours.

Essential Functions

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications, additional requirements, and Supervisory roles.

Typically, individuals acquire knowledge and skills through education in History, Education or related fields. They may also have completed a Bachelor's degree, work experience in demonstrating research projects, demonstrated research experience, and leadership and supervisory experience. However, they may not be able to obtain these skills without having specialized qualifications.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
  • Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D driver's license and maintain licensure for the duration of their employment in this role.
  • Must hold and maintain certifications for Standard First Aid and Community CPR, or other certifications including First Aid, First Aid for Children, and CPR for adults, within six (6) months of employment. Additionally, individuals must maintain their certification throughout their employment duration.
  • Must be willing to work during evenings and weekends.

A Full-Time Non-Uniformed Employee Who Is Not Eligible for a Union?

Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision) - The City pays the eintire cost of employee only health insurance. Coverage for an employee's dependents is available at the employee's option; the City pays part of the cost of this additional coverage.

Life Insurance - The City pays the total cost of employee life insurance. Amount of coverage is one to three times salary, based on job classification.

The diagnosis of AD&D is Accidental Death and Dismemberment. What are the effects? – The City pays the total cost for employee AD&D. Amount of coverage is one times salary.

Long-Term Disability – The City pays the total cost of long-term disability insurance. Amount of coverage is 60% of salary.

Retirement – Our 401a pension plan requires contributions by both the City and the employee.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO) can be utilized for vacation, personal illness, funeral leave, family-related illnesses, or other business-oriented purposes.

Regular, non-union, and full time workers are entitled to paid leave at the rate specified below.

The maximum amount of paid time off is limited to 320 hours.

An employee who terminates their employment will be paid the entire PTO amount.

Short-Term Disability Leave

An employee can use Short-Term Disability (STD) to cover an extended personal illness that requires a three-day absence, as long as medically necessary. However, all employees must provide acceptable documentation.

STD rates are typically observed for all full-time non-union employees, who must be healthy enough to work six (6) days per year.

Upon terminating their service, an employee will be given a 2% share of the STD account, which includes capped pay of 1,000 hours per year, after five (5) years of service.

Longevity

From beginning to end, the amount of long-term service will be $4 per month starting on May 5th. $6 per month is the starting amount for each subsequent year.
