Applicants must possess strong computer skills, have worked in front office roles before being considered for this position. The role necessitates the coordination and administration of administrative tasks to provide support to patients, coworkers, and referral sources. Routine duties include scheduling appointments; verifying insurance and payment authorization; inputting claims; processing payments; account collection; conducting research; and answering phone calls/text messages.
Your Impact:

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
  • The completion of a high school diploma or GED is compulsory.'
  • It is required to have less than 1 year of experience in customer service, administration or similar roles.
  • A driving record and driver's license that meets the requirements set forth in Harter's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:
  • 1-2 years of experience in EMR/electronic health records systems (preferably on platforms like NextGen or OnBase).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance rules and terminology for private, state, and federal plans, including coding, billing, and reimbursement procedures. Additionally, knowledge of other medical insurance regulations and terminology, such as HIPAA, will help you avoid errors in coding or billing.
  • Associate's degree.
  • Capacity to type 40 accurate words every minute.
  • Having worked with computers and office equipment for at least 2 years, including MS Office products (Word, Excel), email and automated billing systems, facsimile machines, calculators, postage machines or copiers, among other tools.
  • Basic accounting using mathematical techniques.'
Physical Requirements:
  • The employee will be required to perform tasks such as sitting, walking, and standing, talking and hearing, using hands to operate standard office equipment, reaching overhead, lifting weights, focusing, close vision, distance vision. Additionally, they will need to adjust their gaze to match the visual cues of the environment surrounding them for proper eye contact.
