Description

The Germantown Athletic Club is seeking dependable, dedicated individuals to serve in the club's drop-in child care as lead child support attendants. The employee provides oversight and guidance of daily children's care activities and supports the team.

The lead child care attendant works under the direction of the Youth Activities Coordinator.

Applicants must be able to work the full length of their assigned shift, 8 am -- 5 pm Monday -- Friday.

Examples of Duties

  • Observe and monitor children's play activities.
  • Keep records of all required records, including daily sign-in and sign-out of children, to ensure proper procedures are followed. '
  • Oversee the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and toys. )
  • Schedule and delegate work assignments to other staff.
  • Plan, organize and participate in child care activities such as games, crafts and reading to children.

Qualifications

  • I'm 20 years old. What age must I be?
  • Experience in planning and organising recreational activities for youth ages 6-12 years old. )
  • First aid or first aid certification must be obtained.
  • Must pass background checks
  • Must pass DHS physical

Requirements

  • What are the DHS child care regulations? What are their procedures?
  • Creative, outgoing, and flexible.
  • A cheerful and caring attitude with a genuine affection for children.
  • Specializing in behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels and maintain positive relationships with staff, children, and members.
  • Can work flexible hours including weekends, night and holidays.
