Duties

Organizes, directs, and supervises the operations and mission planning for the network warfare within the Detachment.

As the senior technical expert, he/she plays a key role in coordinating Network Warfare operations by integrating the planning and utilization of military capabilities to achieve desired effects across the interconnected analog and digital portions of the battlefield.

Defining, constructing, and managing current and future requirements that impact mission and administrative areas while evaluating management, budget, and policy.

Def 3, 315 NWS with a range of installation and functional area organizations, representing Def 3, 215 NWS.

Qualifications

The Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) has assigned a GG-13 position to the "Supervision/Management" work level. The GG-13 duties are equivalent to those of the GS-13 level and are based on the selectee's qualifications. The salary for this position will be based upon the selection criteria within the 13 grade equivalent of a GS/GG grade.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge of the full range of intelligence research, processing, and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. Creditable experience can include military service, private sector experience, or experience with another government agency. Note: This list is for examples only.

1. Knowledge and understanding of AF Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) employment, planning and execution considerations and their impact on air, naval and ground operations.

2. Knowledge of Computer Network Operations, AF policy, planning, telecommunications, digital networking, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and intelligence.

3. Knowledge of national, theater and USAF Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination methods, principles and relationships. This includes knowledge of cyberspace targeting and operations as well as knowledge and understanding of national and USAF policies relating to ISR operations.

4. Knowledge of intelligence processing, exploitation, reporting procedures, and timeliness, as well as, Air Force intelligence dissemination architecture to develop and administer evaluations, identify trends, and recommend changes to existing processes.

5. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet changing deadlines, to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and produce authoritative reports, position papers, and briefings that are responsive to the needs of commanders/senior management officials; present clear and concise findings; and effectively advocate for a position.

ADDITIONAL FACTORS THAT APPEAR IN THIS POST:
  • The incumbent must pass a non-disclosure agreement, undergo criminal justice scope testing, and be able to meet the requirements for a CIA employee clearance. Additionally, the incumbent must have a security clearance and provide access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) along with a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance for the special-sensitive position.
  • The Air Force has designated the post as a Testing Dedicated Position (TDP) within the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. This position requires employees to pass initial and short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use poses a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is recommended that you (a) refrain from using any illegal drugs and (b) undergo urinalysis testing if required.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
