Job Description
This position is located in the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's Central Office in the Construction Division.
This position is available with a possible under-fill to levels: I, II & III

Job Summary
The primary function of the Information Transportation Specialist for the Construction Programs Branch will be maintaining and monitoring the AASHTOWare Programs software and other construction related programs.
Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Fielding phone calls / emails from inter-department personnel and outside users, helping with any issues they might have.

Creating and updating user passwords on a needed basis.

Creating reports with the appropriate data from a variety of sources.

Determining the needs of users and monitoring user access and security; Controls user’s access permissions and privileges.

Support for Field Operations, assisting end users with software issues.

Responsible for development, testing, implementing, and training new users on new software for department use.

Maintaining data standards and writing database documentation
Education and Experience
Level I
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of the completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university; or completion of a minimum of 156 hours of vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education.
Level II
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of the completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university plus one additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or completion of a minimum of 156 hours of vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development plus one additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education plus one additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work.
Level III
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of the completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or completion of a minimum of 156 hours of vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work.
Level IV
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of the completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university plus five additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or completion of a minimum of 156 hours of vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development plus five additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education plus five additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Azure Dev Ops, Agile experience, SQL, Python, AASHTOWare, Active Reports, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Working in a Team Environment.
