Full Description
HR PeopleSoft business systems analyst.
This position will be part of a team of subject matter experts supporting SHARP and specializing in support of the Time and Labor module used by state of Kansas employees to submit their time worked and leave taken. The team utilizes the state-wide human resource and payroll system (SHARP), which includes the Position Management, Core Human Resources Module, Time & Labor and Candidate Gateway functional areas.
Responsibilities include:
Providing business system support for data management, for the development of new software applications for statewide business applications including the SHARP system, integration to the statewide Management and Accounting Tool (SMART) system and other external/third party systems. )
As a subject matter expert, he is responsible for providing functional analysis and support to the time & labour module.
Analyzing business requirements to ensure SHARP functionality is compatible with other system components and related interfaces.
Responding to questions from the agency with a thorough knowledge of the system and applicable laws, regulations, and policy.
Providing support as a functional analyst for all new software applications for the system, including PeopleSoft Update Manager, fixes and PeopleSoft tools logging and escalation of time and labor module operations and recommendations for issue resolution.
Developing assigned training modules and job aids for SHARP to develop and maintain competent, trained personnel in OPS and other agencies.
Working in a team environment with technical analysts/programmers and acting as a consultant on SHARP processes.
Assisting other employees in the work unit in completing tasks as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience in professional human resources, business analysis or functional software analytics may be substituted for experience determined by the agency. Education in human resource management, business administration, and financial information systems can be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources and computer information systems. prefer experience using PeopleSoft HR 9.2? What are the responsibilities?
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for business systems
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions to meet business needs
- Conduct system testing and quality assurance activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing systems
- Provide technical support and training to end users
- Document system processes and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
- Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, AWS, VBA, CSS, VPN, Server, OOP, vaticinate, XML, .NET
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
