Job Duties:
  • The administrative function of the Intake area at the Dillon County DSSO is entrusted to the Human Resource Liaison, who supervises the clerical staff responsible for answering phone calls, greeting customers, and carrying out tasks related to Economic Services programs. This includes managing human resource activities, procurement, financial management, as well as managing state vehicles assigned to county offices.

  • The job involves planning, assigning, and evaluating the workload of the Administrative Services team; providing supervision and monitoring for performance evaluations; and dealing with complaints from both walk-in and phone customers.

  • Provides standard and modern administrative services, ensuring that all paperwork is current; compiled regular information necessary for staffing, office management, payroll, and other tasks across all program sectors.

  • The job involves the preparation and management of financial records, along with the execution of complex accounting and financial reporting functions, such as deposits, disbursements, expenses, fund transfers, expense tracking, invoice reconciliations/payment processing, and check writing using Acumatica accounting.

  • Carry out human resource activities, managing and storing up personnel records.

  • Works as a Time Clerk for the agency, helping with issues related to leave and time recording, if needed.

  • Managing procurement activities, such as inventory control and office supply ordering, in compliance with state and federal policy and procedures. Processes procurement requests forwarded to the State Office.

  • He performs the role of IT liaison for the agency, assisting employees with computer-related problems while reviewing work orders and overseeing IT security.

  • All leased vehicles are managed as part of their maintenance, assignment, and coordination duties. They submit monthly reports on their mileage and work closely with the state's Vehicle Management Office. The designated Vehicle Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all fleet operations.

  • Provide support in obtaining data for unique assignments, research, and report development. Request office equipment/materials. Provide assistance with information dissemination.

  • Serves as an office liaison for the local government. This includes preparing, filing and distributing work orders for building repairs, overseeing maintenance efforts, and monitoring security measures.

  • Obtains, opens, and distributes all inbound mail to the appropriate recipients. Maintains the Daily Cash Logs as well as the DSS 1111 receipt for checks and cash.

  • Must fulfill Red Cross shelter/emergency response responsibilities as directed. Additionally,

Agency Requirements:
A High School Diploma and four (4) years of responsible clerical experience.

An Associate Degree and two (2) years of responsible clerical experience.

Must be able to type at least 30 wpm.
