DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Human Resource Assistant 1 will be responsible for performing a variety of human resource duties to include updating position descriptions, tracking employee performance and maintaining OPFs, entering into negotiations, serving as a recruitment assistant, and scheduling interviews.

Other duties include taking and distributing monthly minutes for management and labor meetings, helping in the compiling of EJAC packets. Both SCI Houston and SCI Smithfield's HR resource account, serving as the college intern coordinator; assisting with ACA's Audit for Human Standards; creating and preparing Access reports, tables, and Weinstein's; monitoring IRIS; and acting as a back up to the recruitment assistant.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Working hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday -- Friday, with 30 minutes for lunch. )
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week after successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Huntingdon.

QUALIFICATIONS
What is the minimum experience and training requirement for a job?

  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
