Position Details:

The Government Account Representative (GAR) is an outside sales role. The GAR partners with established sales and service teams and contracts owners to grow sales among roughly 40-70 large local government, higher education, primary education or federal customers per day by developing relationships to achieve profitable-revenue growth within your assigned geography. You will report to the District,'' said Mr. Hines.

You Will:

  • Keep an understanding of government contracts.

  • Identify and prepare the appropriate "Grainger Value Proposition" for each account and review how Grainger can add value and help with each account's purchase needs.

  • Create a territory plan that optimizes call routes, maximizes time in the field and ensures you are building a sales plan which meets your shared performance goals.

  • Maintain account and contact details in Grainger's CRM (Salesforce).

  • Grow sales with each account while using a wide array of available communication channels to maximize revenue.

You Have:

  • 3 years of sales or relationship building experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED, two years degree. *

  • A valid driver's license.

  • Ability to travel and have occasional overnight stays (dependent on terrain).
