JOB INFORMATION

No benefits, except for sick and safe leave, accrual, the schedule is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (except holidays), 15 hours a week, non-exempt, no benefits.


This technical position is responsible for civilian, applicant fingerprinting three days a week in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center. This is not a forensics position. Civilian customers receive applicant fingerprinting for various certifications like child care, government licensing, nursing, HQL and handgun permits, etc. This position receives supervision from the Support Services Commander.

Job responsibilities and fundamental duties.

  • We use live scan and ink for our civilian customers' fingerprinting needs.
  • Manage fees and maintain records for billing purposes.
  • Enter data into the CJIS system using computers.?
  • Provide courteous customer service to applicants who come in person and those who are scheduled to attend.
  • Perform other duties as required. . .

  • A diploma obtained during high school or equivalent qualifications is not recognized.
  • The minimum age requirement for this application is 18 years of age at the time of submission.
  • Have the right to obtain CJIS certification or have it granted within 30 days of hiring.?
What is the level of knowledge, experience, and competency?
  • Effective comprehension of the Sheriff's Office regulations concerning the job, whether permanent or temporary.
  • Capacities to efficiently access and utilize data management systems and equipment.
  • Having the ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and perform tasks without minimal supervision.[M]
  • Strong administrative abilities, which involve computer usage and data entry, as well as the skill to maintain accurate billing records.
  • Communication skills are essential for effective English writing and speaking, including the ability to read both printed materials and electronic media.

  • Law enforcement background
The working conditions and the physiological requirements:
  • The worker is tasked with performing repetitive tasks such as sitting, walking, and climbing, lifting up to 20 pounds, occasionally lifting 20-50 pounds or pushing up to 40 pounds. Additionally, the job requires consistent physical activity throughout the day.
  • The employee is required to work inside all the time and occasionally outside, walk on rough pavement, deal with dirt and dust, and work in noisy environments. This is a challenging but rewarding position.

Position is not eligible to receive benefits with exception to the 457 Plan as listed below.
