Full Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is recruiting for a Facility Technician. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintenance work at all Helena MDT facilities including the fabrication shop, core drill, motor pool, aeronautics, maintenance shop and airport hangar. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment during the summer. Assists in constructing walls, ceilings and flooring. Oversees the temporary ground maintenance of the facility with ergonomic adjustments to the modular furniture system. Performs preventative maintenance requests. )

Minimum Qualifications:
Working conditions are generally performed in an environment with exposure to hazardous materials and may have adverse weather conditions. One year of experience working in the building maintenance or ground handling fields must be able to lift, carry and/or operate tools, equipment and materials (greater than 50 pounds). Works in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and grounds throughout all facilities. Must work off ladders and high places.
