Employee Benefits Analyst II
The Employee Benefits and Wellness Program is responsible for the administration of City benefits, health care and education programs. The employee benefit analyst II will play an integral role in delivering effective benefits administration and program management. )
- The company provides support and coordinates the RFP (Request for Proposal) process.
- The company participates in employee benefit system testing, vendor census reporting and COBRA programming.
- Administrators of employee benefits programs who review and audit programs in accordance with negotiated contracts and employee benefit rules and regulations.
- Processes enrollment and eligibility records, gathers and reviews employee benefits and program documentation.
- Responds to employee inquiries, conducts research to ensure program administration is consistent with third party agreements, negotiated contracts and legislative mandates.
- The city's departments, divisions and labor unions conduct employee benefit training.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proficient in benefit and enrollment management systems.
- Proficient in request for management of projects.
- Data analysis is a strong ability.
- Project management skills.
- Effective communication skills, including a strong knowledge of consumer services.
The target hiring range for this position is $32.50 -$36.12 per hour.
OR
Possession of an associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience in the administration of employee benefits, insurance risk management programs, worker’s compensation, claims processing and dispute resolution, or contract interpretation and compliance.
OR
Possession of a license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio and three (3) years of experience in the administration of employee benefits, insurance risk management programs, worker’s compensation, claims processing and dispute resolution, contract interpretation and compliance, managed care, or direct patient care.
