This position is located in Madison at 201 E. Washington Avenue, and will have the flexibility to work remotely but must report back to headquarters in Madison for certain scheduled meetings as a member of senior leadership and to support operations and staff needs.

Position Summary
The Deputy Administrator is responsible for the development, administration and direction of the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) administrative functions. It is also responsible for planning, directing, managing and evaluating the work of six bureaus and offices : 1) Bureau of Finance, 2) General Services, 3) Computer Technology Board, 4) Procurement and Information Management, 6) Office of Policy and Budget. Salary Information
Depending on the salary, the starting salary is between $99,840 and $113,963 per year depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits.
The classification title for this position is DWD manager (schedule 81, range = -=---+-----01). A two-year executive trial period will be required because the position isn't represented in a collective bargaining unit and it's exempt under The Fair Labor Standards Act.
The pay will be set in accordance with the state compensation plan, which takes effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.

Remote work: Employees are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin. High-speed internet access is required to meet the needs of remote work. What are the qualifications to work in the United States? : Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e. a US citizen or national or a lawful permanent resident) at the time of appointment. DWD does not sponsor visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. This is not a contract position. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.
Qualifications

You need to have the following experience:
Business Operation: Led day-to-day business operations (e.g., supervision of staff, development of budgets, analysis and resolution of issues impacting operations, etc.) 261917: Collaboration with stakeholders to meet business goals and objectives.

- Communicating and collaborating with others who have diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and goals.
Any of the following experience would be nice to have :
Leading day-to-day business operations in multiple businesses, leading in customer service or business process improvement projects involving formal project management methodologies.
