DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides leadership and supervision for a team of customer service representatives in PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services’ (DVS) Customer Care Center. Staff respond to all manner of telephone and email inquiries regarding a full spectrum of DVS activities concerning motor vehicles, placards, inspections, driver licensing, CDL, REAL ID, etc., covering a vast knowledge base of information, forms, publications, products and services. You will monitor calls and emails to improve staff responses, grow employees and ensure the highest level of customer service possible. You will serve as first point of escalation for customers requiring more specialized assistance and is constantly vigilant for customer situations indicative of broader issues that need brought to the attention of senior management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week. Working.
  • From Monday to Friday, the work schedule is set at 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, and there is also a 60-minute lunch break.
  • During approved office closings, this job may require working.
  • This position will require initial 3 to 4-week training at ROC in Harrisburg.
  • The role could potentially allow for teleworking.'

The candidate must possess experience, education, and eligibility.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum experience and training requirements:.
  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1; or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3; or
  • Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
  • A corresponding range of exposure and education.'
Additional Requirements:
  • You must possess the ability to perform essential job duties.
