Contracts Manager
Contracts Manager for Professional Services (CM-PS) is responsible for implementing service delivery and supervising the contract administration process, including providing guidance to a team of contract management and pricing professionals.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides hands-on contract administration support regarding all contracts and their requirements, including contract award, termination, general correspondence, and close out review of contracts highlighting non-standard terms and identifying issues of concern.
- Maintains compliance with company and project contracts.
- Responsible for business plan of all solicitations.
- Working with general counsel to formulate and execute contractual documents.
- Maintain quality service and support to programs, departments, and partners.
- Interface on a regular basis with staff at all levels of KAI's programs, departments, and partners to build effective relationships.
- Prepare, review and evaluate cost proposals. Provide subcontract documents, as well as other agreements required within contracts (e.g. hotel contracts). Request details
- Maintain Contract Management Database
- Maintain current corporate registrations, including but not limited to CCRA, ORCA, SBA, and the IRS.
- Maintain corporate signature process
Demands/Complexity
The CM-PS is responsible for ensuring that all company and project requirements are met, the duties are met, and the amount of guidance is received. The position will exercise independent judgment in matters involving complexity or Byzantine difficulty.
Specific Job Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of service delivery (professional management) and government contract administration processes and procedures. )
- Experience in preparing pricing proposals, developing rate development and price/cost analysis.
- Fair knowledge and other pertinent contracting requirements (i.e., GSA, SBA, etc.)
- Effective communication skills, written and oral.
- How proficient is MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)?
- Contract Management Database proficiency
- Can perform in a high volume, time-sensitive and limited environment.
- Maintain confidentiality
- Organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required, business, or finance preferred. )
- 5 -- 10 years related experience.
Supervisory Responsibility
None at present, but subject to change with organizational needs.
Contact with Others
The CM-PS will communicate on a frequent and regular basis with external corporate contacts, primarily federal and private agencies, ranging from simple exchanges of information and coordination of activities to more complex problem solving issues. The position may have limited communication regarding the company's regulatory audits. Communication with others in this position can have a substantial impact for the company.
Job Conditions
The CM-PS position is fully remote and may include limited travel, occasional extended hours, and short meetings after hours. Close computer work for extended periods of time will be required.
