The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Child Support Services is seeking a motivated individual to join our Account Adjustment - South team as the child support specialist. This position will assess financial obligations and support balances related to child support accounts while working in remuneration in an automated call center setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities to effectively manage the Account adjuster - South role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Calculates child support and debt. How much is this amount?
  • Interpret and assess both judicial and administrative orders for support of case review and integration into the system. Additionally, provide guidance on how to interpret and assess judicial orders.
  • Solves customer service problems within a call center environment by communicating directly with customers or other state or legal entities, via telephone, written letters or emails, respectively.
  • Collects data through in-person interviews and review, including those from other IV-D agencies/jurisdictions for the Custodial Parents (CPs) and ends them with the court.
  • 'Directs the generation, modifying, and executing of court orders.'
  • Performs other tasks as required or assigned by the above mentioned duties in a manner that is reasonably within their scope.*


Minimum Qualifications


  • It is required to successfully complete the Child Support Specialist training.
