The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HHS)'s Division of Child Support Services is seeking a Call Center Specialist with outstanding skills to assist in answering customer inquiries, conducting research on payment disbursements, and serving as a coordinating agent with various state agencies. Additionally, the position involves working with private attorneys regarding child support enforcement from the Assistant Attorney General to conduct interviews for eligible parties.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding math, communication, organizational, and analytical abilities to effectively execute the tasks of Unit 1/Team B in the Call Center. They must also have connections with other professional government organizations for optimal collaboration.

Job Responsibilities
- Performs intricate, specialized paraprofessional and technical duties for Team B in Unit 1 of the DCSS Call Center. A.
- Investigates and settles matters concerning appointment.
- Explores various case and docket matters through the KIDS and the Cook County Circuit Clerk (T-KID).
- Manages customer queries by submitting Income Withholding Notices (IWNs) to the Department of Employment Security. Additionally,
- Delayed legal advice in explaining the process to CPs and NCPs without seeking their consent.
- Ensures that Voluntary acknowledgement of paternity (VAP) has been received.
- Evaluates the merits of modification and provides explanations to CP and NCP regarding the reasons for denial and/or subsequent actions during the modification process. Additionally,

- Contacts other state employees to discuss account balance issues and request status on pending cases in the other state.
- Provides assistance to e-mails received through the department's web address while responding independently.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and mental aptitude equivalent to two years of college education in secretariat and one year of office work or finishing high school and three years of office work on an independent business experience.
- Must possess the skill to type accurately at a rate of 30 words per minute.
Qualifying state employees, in the employee Upward Mobility Program, may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
