BereaCorps positions are grant-funded, one-year contract positions from June 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024, with the possibility of a one year extension. The positions are only available to 2022 and May 2023 Berea graduates, that have

Summary:

The Educational Technology Support Associate will provide various courseware, technology needs, and other educational technologies that can be used to enhance the teaching and learning experience for Berea College students. The position will also include conducting group and one-on-one faculty training sessions.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field is preferred.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and travel for on-site technology support.'

Environmental conditions:

  • This position will be based in an office setting, but many work hours will take place on-site in various classrooms and other locations across educational technology.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to participate in the essential functions listed below. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

  • Assist with administration and providing support for Belmar's campus-wide learning management system using Moodle with HostLearn.
  • Assist the Education Technology team with managing the college's educational technology initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with the educational technology team on all aspects of developing campus academic technologies.
  • As a liaison between the faculty and staff, I provide technology support and provide expert recommendations.
  • Assist in research and investigation of the latest trends and developments of academic software, hardware and education technology, including emerging technologies and technology-related pedagogy.

Other roles are assigned as necessary to assist the college in achieving its goals and to ensure a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty, and students.
