Overview:

Banquet servers (on-call) are responsible for the setting up and serving of food and beverages at all banquet functions, according to hotel standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preparatory and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly, efficiently.
  • How do you read the Banquet Event Order (BEO)? And be familiar with the menu of assigned functions.
  • In a friendly, courteous and professional manner, we serve our guests according to the hotel's standards.
  • Responsive to guest problems, complaints and accidents. Communicate with management if necessary.
  • All tables must be set according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
  • Clean-up the banquet space after the completion of a function and ensure all equipment and supplies are stored properly. "
  • Room preparation according to BEO and various meal functions.
  • Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
  • For each function served, know the menu items and be able to give accurate descriptions.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel management, or a related field, preferred.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes need.
  • Medium work -- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. '
  • How do I stand during a shift?
  • Effective at listening, understanding and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • To meet the deadlines, they must be able to multitask and prioritize their tasks.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, and courteous manner. '
