The City of Caldwell has an opening for a full-time Airport Maintenance Operations Specialist who will perform regular maintenance of the city's airport assets and other tasks assigned with high priority for workplace safety.
Education, training and experience are the key. At least four (4) years of experience maintaining and repairing facilities and/or airfield assets; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of:
- Working safety practices, procedures and protocols.
- Applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Materials, tools and equipment used in the repair of utility systems. )
- Basic computer knowledge in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Skill in:
- Interacting professionally and tacitly with the public.
- Working with hand and power tools and equipment safely.
- How do I maintain effective working relationships?
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid Idaho driver's license is required.
- I can obtain Airport Movement Area certification within two weeks of appointment. Please provide details.
- Within one year, you must obtain ACE airfield lighting certification.
The position is subject to after-hours call-back and/or varying shift hours if work dictates.
The job requires successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test.
