Hiring rate: $17.15 per hour -- 25 cents per minute, pay rate commensurate with education and/or experience within financial constraints if approved. Request:


Examples of Work

Responsible for Divisional contract/grant administration, including working with partner’s representatives and staff project leader to insure proper/timely financial and reporting accountability. Create and negotiate contracts and amendments with vendors and Partner Organizations. Oversee and coordinate time sheets, vehicle logs, invoices and credit card logs for the Division. Assist with office support and/or project assignments. Complete reports and inquiries using the state accounting System, Enterprise One. Coordinate, track, and create reports regarding education division outputs.

Assist with education programing including coordination of wildlife education trunks, outdoor event trailers and communication with teachers and education participants. Assist with educational programming and presentations when needed. Assist with social media when needed. Assist in daily care for live animals including snakes, turtles, salamanders and frogs. Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

PREFERRED: Post-secondary degree in office management, secretarial/office support, customer service, administration, or a related area. OR One year of experience in office management, secretarial/office support, customer service, or administration, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. OR One year of coursework/ training or experience involving research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency.

OTHER: Valid driver's license or able to provide independent authorized transportation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of Windows operating system, word processing, database and spreadsheet applications preferred. Desire to help the team engage in science and ecological education. Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously without supervision.
