New Job Accounts Receivable Specialist In North Dakota

Baranko Brothers, Inc., an earthmoving construction company based in Dickinson, ND, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team in support of their disposal billing function. As a member of the Baranko team, you will join a group that has been providing quality earthwork, trucking, environmental, oilfield, and heavy highway work for over 50 years. Baranko Brothers, Inc. is a member of the AGC and LEC, and maintains strong relationships with private entities and local and state governments throughout the Midwest. As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play an important role in keeping the business running smoothly by processing invoices accurately and ensuring timely payment by the customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate
• Create invoices and send them to customers in a timely manner
• Monitor payment activity and follow up on overdue accounts
• Reconcile payments received against invoices issued
• Communicate with customers to address any concerns or inquiries related to billing and payments
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve customer disputes or issues related to billing
• Contribute to the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with disposal industry standard billing and payment practices and guidelines preferred.
• Experience with, or knowledge of manifests, waste data sheets, and the oil industry preferred, but willing to train the right person.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment
• Perform other related duties as needed.
