Summary

Coordinate with relevant areas to ensure customers (agents, group administrators, members, etc.) receive outstanding customer service and retain a loyal client base. Address issues as they are identified.

Description

Logistics:

  • Following on-site training, work can be done from home in the Columbia, SC office. Occasional on-site meetings, trainings and work assignments may also be possible.
  • To work from home, you must have a high-speed internet service (not satellite) and a private home office.
  • The work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, or 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do:

  • In a professional manner, provide services to all assigned groups.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to the assigned group(s) received from Group Administrators, Internal Management Providers, vendors, various internal departments, etc.
  • Inquiries may be any question related to the assigned group, and may include eligibility, benefits, claims, billing, etc.
  • All customer inquiries are resolved in a timely manner, he said.
  • On behalf of group administrators and members, I support marketing representatives with eligibility issues, claims problems, and pharmacy issues.
  • Make Outreach calls to new groups and existing groups.
  • May travel to groups and benefit from fairs in order to assist in marketing.
  • On benefits, claims processing procedures and/or changes specific to the assigned group(s). Train claims/customer service staff on benefits.
  • May support membership, while ensuring correct eligibility information is available.
  • Log and track all inquiries received via email or by fax.
  • May create and run reports to identify and analyze trends or resolve issues.
  • As assigned by management, I assist in special projects.
  • Working environment: Typical office atmosphere. Some travel may be required, if necessary.

How do I qualify for the position of Assistant Secretary General?

  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience with claims, customer service or healthcare setting.
  • 4 (4) years of directly related work experience. (Can be concurrent)
  • Provided ability to effectively troubleshoot problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated consumer orientation.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
