Completes Employee performance and development plan in accordance with Agency guidelines. Supervises, directs, and lead the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Technology Services Unit. Promotes implementation of DHEC Strategic Plan.

Responsible for WIC’s Management Information System (MIS), and eWIC processor contracts.

Coordinates, leads, and participates in collaborative planning, development, and execution of program activities to optimize and modernize WIC Services and associated technologies.
Serves as the subject-matter expert (SME) for USDA/FNS (United States Department of Agricultural / Food Nutrition Services) technical requirements, policies, and WIC technologies.

Responsible for the technology support of WIC Services.

Participates and ensures staff participation in all required meetings; completes bureau and agency training by deadlines; and other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery.

State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of the Women, Infant's and Children (WIC) Program regulations, policies and directives. Skills in developing, writing, and presenting complex information to a variety of individuals or groups. Exceptional organizational, communications and interpersonal skills. Skills in using standard office software applications (Microsoft Suites). Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions; work under time constraints; handle changing priorities; establish cooperative working relationships; prioritize and plan assignments; and, plan, assign, and supervise the work of others. Three (3) years management experience preferred.
