(2300084J)This is an intermittent position which means it is an appointment where an employee is required to work less than one thousand hours per fiscal year, or for the duration of a specific project or grant which may exceed one thousand hours in a fiscal year.

The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing helps ensure Ohioans’ investment in their largest asset – their homes – is a sound one. This includes licensing, education, and enforcement of Ohio laws for real estate brokers, salespersons, real estate appraisers, appraisal management companies, home inspectors, manufactured home brokers, dealers and salespersons and foreign real estate dealers and salespersons. The division also administers the Ohio registered cemetery and landmen programs, and real estate developments located outside of Ohio that are marketed to Ohioans. REPL also houses the Video Service Authorization program which provides complaint services, education and outreach to cable consumers, local governments, and cable providers.
What You'll Do:
- Respond to inquiries for information or complaints pertaining to appraiser, real estate and cemetery program laws, rules, policies and procedures
- Answers emails and reaches out to licensees for updated addresses and email addresses
- Assists with research on information or complaint inquiries
- Assists with records, data, documentation and reports
- Complete other general office tasks, as needed

Ability to apply laws, rules, policies &/or procedures applicable to routine & non-routine inquiries, requests, complaints &/or transactions involving variety of variables within familiar context; handle routine & non-routine inquiries, requests, complaints &/or transactions received in writing &/or by telephone, teletype, e-mail, in-person contacts &/or by other means of communication with variety of internal & external customers, some of whom may be irate; collate & classify information about data, people or things; prepare &/or maintain accurate records & reports; work alone on most tasks.
