Managed by Montage International, Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 40 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT.
SUMMARY
The Golf & Skier Services Supervisor will be responsible for creating personalized guest interactions at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club, ensure the accuracy of the golf services and ski services process, oversee arrival and departure of all guest equipment, coach Associates, and maintain proper record keeping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Transport all golf bags or skis to and from entry area
- Ensure that at least one person is present to greet guests at the entry area at all times
- Clean all golf clubs coming in from the golf course
- Setting out skis and returning them to their assigned slot at the end of skiing
- Work as a team to ensure that associates are present at the staging area when all guests conclude their round
- Maintain cleanliness of all outside service/staging areas
- Maintain neatness and cleanliness of cart barn and adjacent areas; stock snacks and water
- Assist with all member and guest golf bag handling at all times
- Be present to greet all guests arriving to the practice tee
- Supervise, train, and assist all golf and ski associates
- Maintain communication with the Golf Shop and Professional Staff
- Be available to player assist when needed
- Inform each group of cart rules, cart path only or 90 degree rule, yardages on sprinkler heads (to the middle of green), Comfort Station locations, and any other necessary rules of the course
- Maintain an adequate supply of scorecards, pencils, tees, ball markers, water at the practice tee at all times
- Work with other ski & golf associates in staging skis or bags, boots, carts, etc. for special events
- Stage ample amount of golf carts in staging area
- Thoroughly clean and park golf carts in proper storage areas
- Maintain and properly record a golf cart-detailing program
- Ensure guests receive rental clubs as needed; check rental clubs in and out and ensure the sets are complete and in order
- Report all equipment malfunctions to the Director of Golf and Skier Services
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
- Be informed on and promote all club activities and services
- Assist in flipping retail shop and golf/ski inventory from summer to winter, and vice versa
- Provide excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all members and guests
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Golf & Skier Services
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree or educational equivalent preferred
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Luxury hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong passion for customer service; experience handling and resolving guest concerns in a timely manner
- Highly organized and professional
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to give and/or follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Ability to operate vehicles
- Can read and interpret information from technical sources
- Must be dependable, available to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings as necessary based on business demands.
- Strong verbal communication skills-ability to communicate effectively with guests and vendors
- Have a vast array of knowledge about recreational activities applicable to the area.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors, occasionally in inclement weather. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull skis, boots, carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill ski equipment handling tasks.
