Introduction

This is a Management Service position that serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

POSITION DUTIES
- Develop, communicate, implement, manage and is accountable for the online development and professional development programming of the DHS Learning Office.
- Provide recommendations and advice concerning professional development best practices to DHS’ CLO.
- Provide customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds the standards set by the Department.
- Oversee the design and implementation of classroom based and online courses and modules to support the Departmental training plan and other departmental initiatives consistent with strategic training goals.
- Conduct and coordinate delivery of training programs designed to develop and update targeted employee competencies consistent with identified training needs and DHS’ strategic training goals.
- Maintain a training schedule consistent with DHS’ strategic training goals, timely posts course registration information and reports identified course attendance data after delivery of training.
- Serve as a secondary agency administrator of The HUB which includes ensuring anything posted is 508 compliant, design and development of online learning materials utilizing html and javascript, and Adobe Captivate.
- Provide oversight to the various Department learning projects which includes coordination of learning officers throughout the Department, monitoring training related contract deliverables, and management of instructional design projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).
