By joining our Department of Vehicle Regulation as an Administrative Branch Manager in Kenton County, you will have the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day functions of the Region 8 Driver Licensing offices.

Holders of the Administrative Branch Manager position will complete tasks such as:
  • Oversee the supervision and implementation of all staff and programs within the Region 8 Branch with exceptional customer service.
  • Provide administrative oversight to all regional office employees through interpretation of regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Monitor leased properties of the division's regional offices to insure all aspects of the properties are maintained to provide a safe work environment for employees and the customers.
  • Analyze branch operations and recommends policy and procedural changes to increase operating efficiently.
Holders of this job will obtain the following skills:
  • Will obtain experience supervising a branch of multiple standalone regional offices.
  • Will obtain experience in changing and implementing regulations.
  • Will become acquainted with budgeting.
  • Will host branch meetings.
Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:
  • Experience in supervising employees, programs and standalone offices.
  • Experience working with reconciliation.
  • Experience working with legal identity documents such as birth certificates, social security cards and passports.
  • Experience in multitasking duties and implementing new programs.
The position is generally sitting at a desk however could have minimal lifting, bending and travel with overnight stays.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional administrative experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
