Description
The Idaho State Tax Commission is recruiting for a Technical Records Specialist 2 in the Property Tax Reduction Program.
This position provides a variety of records support functions; reviews and processes documents; determines and explains compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policies and takes appropriate action; maintains a manual or computerized records system; performs related work.

Responsibilities:
Process applications for property tax reduction and related programs- Operate property tax reduction information database
- Understand and communicate statues, rules, and policies related to property tax reduction and related programs
- Serve as program expert and provide guidance and assistance regarding complex rules to external customers including applicants and county staff
- Approve, modify, or deny applications in adherence to statute
- Review various legal, financial and personal documents
- Contact internal and external customers
- Assist in development of training materials and help conduct training
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of full-time work experience in each of the following areas:
- Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors
- Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs
- Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues
- Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations
- Composing and proofreading business correspondence
At least 6 months of full-time work experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system
