This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

Performs routine manual and semi-skilled tasks in assisting a plumber in the repair, maintenance and installation of plumbing systems and equipment; and performs other related duties as assigned.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Experience and Training: TWO (2) YEARS of work experience in the repair, maintenance and/or installation of plumbing systems and equipment as an apprentice or helper under a fully competent plumber; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Driver's License: Some positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. The immediate vacancies has this requirement.

Federal Criminal History Records Check (TWIC):
In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the harbor must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found "not guilty by reason of insanity," of a disqualifying criminal offense within seven years from the date of appointment. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding seven years. The cost for the records check will be the applicant's responsibility. However, upon hire, the employee will be reimbursed provided he/she submit the TWIC receipt to his/her supervisor.
