Overview
The Senior Insurance Rate and Form Analyst will primarily be tasked with reviewing property and casualty rate and form filings. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail oriented and have a comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty coverages. Most of the form and rate review work is done independently with ample opportunities for collaboration with a larger team to discuss issues or policy questions as they arise. At DFR our mission is to protect Vermont consumers and ensure they are purchasing compliant products. The Senior Analyst will be expected to handle a high filing load and be able to manage statutory deadlines. Organizational skills as well as the ability to clearly communicate compliance issues with third party filers and companies is integral to the position.
Although the position is office based, telework arrangements may be available.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation must be provided. Duties involve interaction with company personnel and attorneys and the public. Testimony at hearings may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) and one (1) year or more of experience involving insurance company, agency, or regulatory policy form analysis; insurance rate analysis; insurance statistical analysis; actuarial analysis; insurance underwriting; or comparable experience.
OR
Four (4) years or more experience involving insurance company, agency, or regulatory policy form analysis; insurance rate analysis; insurance statistical analysis; actuarial analysis; insurance underwriting; or comparable experience.
OR
One (1) year as an Insurance Rate and Form Analyst.
