Your Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Engineer within Edge Operations, you are responsible for the planning and implementation of changes to the information technology infrastructure within established processes. This level works on low to medium complexity infrastructure problems, performs routine changes and improvements to existing processes, and applies technology to meet specific needs. This role delivers infrastructure technology for multi-functional business requirements with guidance from more senior team members. Receives guidance from Scrum Master or senior team member when needed. Work and decisions are performed and reviewed within established guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitors, applies changes to, and/or manages current information technology infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance in an integrated environment.
  • Performs and applies information analysis to resolve desktop and infrastructure problems. Delivers infrastructure technology for business requirements.
  • Identifies, analyzes, selects, and applies with guidance, the appropriate new information technology infrastructure components within a diverse environment as required to support strategic business plans and processes.
  • Participates on projects as a team member and works on projects that require contact with other Information Technology departments and business partners at the unit, division, or enterprise level.
  • Collaborates with product teams to implement changes and improvements to processes. This may include modifying existing operating systems, designs, or program code, or designing new processes. Responsible for communicating and recording change documentation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including outside standard workday to meet the needs of the business as they arise

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)

  • 1+ years of experience with infrastructure or more components, i.e., communications, private/public network, network access security, database and information access security, middleware, computing hardware, operating system
  • 1+ years of experience with desktop or Edge products
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and concepts for designs.
  • Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience monitoring, changing, and/or managing IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance in an integrated environment
  • Experience performing and applying information analysis to resolve infrastructure problems
  • Experience in incident, problem or change management
  • Knowledge of process improvement principles - these may include modifying existing operating systems, designs, or program code, or designing new processes

Education
