Job Summary

This is an exciting role on the Global Learning & Development (L&D) team. A career in Learning & Development, within Global Shares, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the success of our people and constantly improve the Global Shares experience, by supporting and delivering on our L&D Operational Strategy. This L&D Specialist will develop, plan and provide learning and development interventions in line with strategy, organisational development, and employee needs, conduct Training Needs Analysis across the business identifying training needs and developing plans in place to address the gaps ensuring all statutory and required training needs are met and will manage and facilitate new hire onboarding classes and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on new hire surveys, and help conduct focus groups for feedback.
  • Use digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programs.
  • Create and maintain a learning repository, develop modular learning and promote content reuse.
  • Deliver effective learning (both in-person and virtual) with confidence, passion and enthusiasm.
  • Continuously analyse training needs in conjunction with line managers and amend training plans accordingly.
  • Design and implement various learning methods (i.e. on the job training, job-shadowing, coaching, online training, e-learning).
  • Assist in the development and design of all their leadership development, and Coaching and Mentoring programmes.
  • Drive engagement and adoption of learning technology across the business.

Required Capabilities, Skills & Qualities

  • Experience working in EPM.
  • Relevant third level qualification in Human Resources, Training and Education, Learning and Development or similar discipline.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and experience of facilitating learning on an individual or group basis.
  • Strong IT skills - proficient in MS office packages Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, etc.

Preferred Capabilities, Skills & Qualities

  • Experience in a training or L&D role.
  • Experience in the design, planning and delivery of learning and development programmes, ideally in a technology environment.
