Financial analysts leverage strong accounting and compliance backgrounds to explore historical financial data, predict future results and drive process and policy improvements.
This position may be eligible for remote work (must live in Utah), with some in office time required. Located at: Taylorsville State Office Building 4315 S 2700 W Taylorsville, Utah.

- Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
- Providing financial models and forecasting
- Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
- Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
- Assist with the analyzing of actual results against plan and forecast and prepare analysis as
- Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and
- Detailed analysis, with understanding of key drivers, to forecast cost trends
- Develop a detailed understanding of business processes, looking for both control gaps and
- Preparing reports and projections based on analysis
- Illustrating financial trends with charts and graphs
- Ad-Hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as required
- Detail oriented, with unquestionable integrity and credibility.
- Ability to “connect the dots” for others across multiple data points, make connections
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Presenting creative and logical solutions to identified problems.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and
- Drives solid understanding of cost structure/drivers by division/BU and partners with the ops
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Communicates and demonstrates judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with internal
- Possesses initiative, enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude and ability to perform as a team player.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Highly motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and project management skills to
