DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Houston Health & Immunization Department is currently searching for an energetic and skilled candidate to fill the Customer Service Representative II who uses effective problem-solving techniques to provide general information and customer service for quality service. May function in a lead capacity or serve as a shift leader of Customer Service Representatives.
Provide customer service for Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) and COVID -19 Vaccine providers including responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner.- Conduct training to TVFC and COVID -19 Vaccine providers on proper storage and handling of vaccines and how to report compliance using the Vaccine Allocation and Ordering (VAOS) system.
- Conduct both announced and unannounced site visits to TVFC and COVID providers monthly to assess compliance with TVFC and COVID -19 Vaccine policies and procedures.
- Keep accurate records and conduct daily, weekly and monthly reporting of activities according to Federal and State grant guidelines.
- Complete electronic reporting and quality assurance audits.
- Provide technical assistance to providers who need additional assistance with using the Texas Immunization Registry (ImmTrac2) to conduct reminder recall activities at their practice.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable most of the time with occasional periods of stooping, bending and/or light lifting of materials of up to 10 pounds. There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. The position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, as with occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of a monitor.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma or a GED.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years of administrative or customer service related experience are required.
Substitution: Associate's degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience.

SALARY INFORMATION GRANT FUNDED
Grants & Special funded positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred. Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
